At Rainforest we help companies all over the world meet their QA needs better than ever before. We’re always looking for smart and passionate people to join us in making this happen.
Careers at Rainforest
Rainforest is growing fast. Our top priority is building a strong team that stays true to our values as we scale.
We know candidates put in time and effort to prepare for their interviews with us. In turn, we work hard to create an interview process that is seamless, friendly, and transparent.
Each candidate who finishes an onsite interview with us should feel they have a solid understanding of the role, the team they’re applying to, our company values, who we are as a company, and the opportunity the position presents.
Our company values guide our hiring philosophy, and we want every new team member to feel like they own and influence those values too. Our goal is for candidates to discover what those values mean to Rainforesters during the interview process.
Attracting and retaining world-class talent requires both challenging career opportunities and competitive compensation. Our compensation philosophy puts those two core beliefs together.
As a globally distributed team we aim for pay parity across the org by compensating all team members fairly and competitively in their local market. We use several compensation benchmarking tools to determine a competitive compensation range based on the needs of the role, the location of the candidate, and experience and skill set of the candidate.
Because we don’t always know where our next Rainforester will be located*, we don’t always have compensation ranges readily available at the earliest stages of the interview process. If we decide to move forward with a remote candidate after an initial interview, our People Team will work to determine a competitive compensation range based on the above so we can share it with candidates as early as possible in the process.
*Salary ranges will be made available for California-based roles
At Rainforest QA we believe distributed teams and remote work are the future. We’ve been a distributed team since the beginning and are dedicated to maintaining this model as we continue to build out a world-wide world-class team.
While we are dedicated to growing a global team there are some countries where complex rules, laws and regulations make it exceedingly challenging to hire employees or engage with contractors who are based in those countries. Therefore, at this time, we are unable to hire employees or initiate new engagements with contractors based in the following countries: Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, and Ukraine. We may also limit certain roles to select locations based on the needs of the role and the best interest of the business. We do our best to clearly define preferred locations in the posting of each role.
If changes are made that allow us to add new team members in any of these countries we will share those updates here.
“I came into Rainforest as an SDR, thinking I wanted to try a career in sales. However, after working closely with our Customer Success team, I realized CS better suited my personality and skill set. When I broached the subject of trying a lateral move over to the CS team, Rainforest was beyond supportive and allowed me to apply for an open spot on the team. Now I’m in my new role and love it! Rainforest is great because we openly promote professional growth, even if the track is a little non-standard!”
“Not only was I given the opportunity to move into a closing position, but through the constant support and feedback from mentors and colleagues, I was set up for success. As a result, I was able to ramp up quickly and every day I continue to grow to progress my career.”
“It’s nice to be able to refer people to a place I genuinely enjoy working for. Our founders and team have made it a focus to hire caring and driven people who make me laugh, who I can learn from, and who have continually added value to my life throughout the last year and a half. I appreciate how unique that is.”
Be you at Rainforest. Belong at Rainforest.
At Rainforest QA we believe that diverse teams create better, stronger businesses. We’re focused on building a team that raises the bar on what diversity in tech looks like. Every new hire brings us closer to our goal to create a brighter future for everyone at Rainforest.
Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
Diversity is about more than just hitting the numbers. It’s about helping every Rainforester from every background feel comfortable and authentically themselves at work. We strive to make Rainforest an organization that not only attracts diversity, but also celebrates and retains it.
We’re very excited about all that diversity adds to our organization today and we’re looking to expand on that. In order to hold ourselves accountable to increasing diversity across our organization, we share where we currently are with respect to our team’s self-identification.

“Having the ability to work remote 100% of the time has been a lifesaver this past year as I got married and moved to a different part of the country. It’s also given me the ability to make friends from all around the world. I never could have imagined that one of my dearest work friends would be based out of South Africa, thousands of miles away. Rainforest’s remote work policy makes that all possible!”
“I feel like I can be myself every day here. We seamlessly transition from in-depth discussions about diversity in the workplace, to our favorite snacks from around the globe, to my personal favorite -Pop Culture! Walking through the door at Rainforest just feels different than other places. I don’t want to be cliche and say it feels like home because everyone says that. But at the same time….it’s kind of true!”
“The most impactful companies in the world have just one thing in common–amazing, amazing people. Rainforest is nothing without our team, and the most important thing to me about Rainforest is how unified our team is in our core values, while remaining diverse of background and viewpoint. Companies that don’t truly care about creating a world-class culture will fail. We’ve just figured this out earlier than most places.”

Name: Sriya Maram
Internship: CSM Team
Intern Year: Summer 2016
Sriya’s Merchant Analysis
Project: I developed a merchant analysis of Rainforest’s top customers by using both quantitative data as well as qualitative feedback from actual customers. This helped me create successful customer profiles that multiple teams across the company could use.
What I learned & loved: My main goal was to do a project that brought value to the company. I was able to dive into the world of Customer Success and work cross-functionally with multiple teams across the organization. It was an incredibly great learning experience. Apart from my project, I also enjoyed learning from my coworkers through intern-focused learning discussions and company-wide lunch and Learns.
Name: Karissa Prayogo
Internship: Sales Team
Year: Summer 2017
Karissa’s Sales Report
Project: During my internship I created a report which analyzed sales opportunities in order to provide insight into where meetings come from and which meetings are more likely to close.
What I Learned & Loved: I was really proud of this project because it provided value to the SDR team even after I left by helping to emphasize which prospects to focus on. Not only did I learn a lot about the SDR process and Rainforest’s target audience, I also learned how to truly take ownership of small projects in order to help enable the team to do even more!
Name: Hubert Cheng
Internship: Product Team
Year: Summer 2017
Hubert’s Tester Training Guide
Project: My main project at Rainforest QA was improving tester quality which is also linked to test results quality.
What I Learned & Loved: I was able to make a lasting impact through this project as the company saw clients coming back with better results. Through this project, I was able to learn SQL to gather and analyze data on Rainforest’s testers and to create initiatives to improve our tester quality. I was also able to dabble a little bit on the development team as I created a feature to better manage the results of our testers.
