Rainforest interns have a real impact on our organization. From engineering to product and customer success, every intern has a chance to tackle meaningful projects that help their teams succeed and expose them to the real processes and priorities of a business.

Name: Sriya Maram
Internship: CSM Team
Intern Year: Summer 2016

Sriya’s Merchant Analysis

Project: I developed a merchant analysis of Rainforest’s top customers by using both quantitative data as well as qualitative feedback from actual customers. This helped me create successful customer profiles that multiple teams across the company could use.

What I learned & loved: My main goal was to do a project that brought value to the company. I was able to dive into the world of Customer Success and work cross-functionally with multiple teams across the organization. It was an incredibly great learning experience. Apart from my project, I also enjoyed learning from my coworkers through intern-focused learning discussions and company-wide lunch and Learns.

Karissa’s Sales Report

Project: During my internship I created a report which analyzed sales opportunities in order to provide insight into where meetings come from and which meetings are more likely to close.

What I Learned & Loved: I was really proud of this project because it provided value to the SDR team even after I left by helping to emphasize which prospects to focus on. Not only did I learn a lot about the SDR process and Rainforest’s target audience, I also learned how to truly take ownership of small projects in order to help enable the team to do even more!

Hubert’s Tester Training Guide

Project: My main project at Rainforest QA was improving tester quality which is also linked to test results quality.

What I Learned & Loved: I was able to make a lasting impact through this project as the company saw clients coming back with better results. Through this project, I was able to learn SQL to gather and analyze data on Rainforest’s testers and to create initiatives to improve our tester quality. I was also able to dabble a little bit on the development team as I created a feature to better manage the results of our testers.
