Gartner Named Us a Cool Vendor. Here's How We're Continuing to Create a New Way to Do QA.

Rainforest was just named by Gartner as one of the five Gartner Cool Vendors in Application Development for 2016!

You may be thinking ‘so what?’ But this is actually huge news for us. Getting a Cool Vendor award is a big deal. It takes a lot to stand out amongst all the amazing companies innovating in dev tools, so we were surprised and excited to find out that Gartner thinks so much of us.

We believe our inclusion on the list reinforces what our customers have been telling us - that Rainforest QA helps our customers test faster to keep up with faster development cycles, and have the peace of mind that their applications won’t break in production.

It also reinforces what we’ve long known - that QA is a tired space with very few exciting companies and even less innovation. Because we’re taking such a unique approach to QA, it’s gratifying that after evaluating the space Gartner highlighted us.

We’re not done yet. I can barely believe it when I stand back and realize that we’ve been at this for four years already! There’s so much left to do!

Ultimately, our aim is to build the AWS of QA. We’re going to deliver each of the key pieces of a world-class QA organization, but on-demand, programmatically, and tied directly into your deployment process. We won’t stop until we get there. And to be honest, we probably won’t stop even then! Over the next few months we’re shipping some exciting stuff, especially our second “primitive,” Rainforest Exploratory. This will make it easy and fast to get on-demand exploratory testing for your website or app. We’re also on the cusp of shipping native mobile, with a handful of customers running thousands of tests per day on real iOS devices.

There’s so much more to do. But I’m incredibly excited to be where we are today. Thanks to Gartner and the whole Rainforest team for making this the best place to work in the world.
